Catgut Chromic Absorbable Surgical Suture
Catgut Chromic is a sterile, absorbable surgical suture made from purified collagen derived from healthy sheep intestines. Special chromic salt treatment slows absorption and enhances tensile strength, providing reliable wound support during the critical healing phase.
These sutures retain tensile strength for approximately 14–21 days and are absorbed enzymatically within about 70 days. Ideal for general soft tissue approximation and ligation, including ophthalmic procedures.
