Catgut Plain is a sterile, absorbable surgical suture made from purified collagen derived from the submucosal layer of healthy sheep intestines. Designed for rapid absorption and reliable wound closure, it is ideal for dermal (skin) suturing and external knot tying procedures.

This braided absorbable suture provides excellent handling, secure knot tying, and minimal tissue reaction. It retains tensile strength for approximately 7–14 days and is fully absorbed enzymatically within about 65 days, supporting safe and predictable healing.
